Delta Sigma Alpha Sorority was placed into the hearts of A FEW dedicated
and determined women; a revolutionary new concept in the world of artists and paints, fabric and thread, a networking opportunity
like none other, to help to solidify the bonds of women in the art industries while encouraging and increasing their academic,
networking, community service, and social fellowship opportunities.
At first, the inclination of an organization such as this was met
with supreme opposition by administration of the institution they were attending. The ladies toiled on, determined
to make their presence known on their campus.
The organization, Delta Sigma Alpha Sorority, was recognized on campus,
and it became the first sorority catering to, but not exclusive to, minority women of art institutions of higher
learning.
